I am saying this at a standpoint of having a second plane now, (This one), my first being the famous Ares Gamma V2. It initally flew very well, with massive aerobatic capability. After about fifteen or so flights, the brushed motor, As expected for the size of prop to motor ratio, has started to lose power. It's not that big of a problem, as I bought it mainly as a throw in the car and go fly in a parking lot plane, but will soon become one soon. I will be lucky to get another year out of it. Great plane, would buy two, but am starting to get too advanced. Another thing, before concluding. I wish I would have started out with this plane, not that I don't love my Gamma. It has a gyro, that really helps out in the wind, and I have found it to be in the air where I couldn't fly my gamma. Great product, for absolute beginners to intermediate people.
In conclusion, what I like and don't like. What I like is how it starts out overpowered, landings at 10% throttle to none, it's gyro is epic too. Things I don't like, is the prop does not come with a break - off feature like the super cub 500, but luckily the prop is the same size, so all you have to do is go onto amazon if you need this feature. Another thing I don't like is that the motor loses power after so little flights, but that much is to be expected. Would give 5 stars overall if it's motor was a little bit more powerful, just so that it can last longer. Maybe think about a coreless brushed, and going to a 15mm instead of 10mm. As always, another great product from volantex.
